Striving to increase the dynamics of empik chain and to expand its range, empik Group made the decision to create a new form of salons (partnership salons), appropriate for towns with 30 000 to 100 000 inhabitants. In this way Empik meets the expectations of inhabitants of small towns who want to get access to new books, records, films, multimedia and also press and in this way bridges a gap in cultural offer in these cities.
In 2007 we opened the first salon of this kind. Partnership stores (empik’ original business model) successfully operate in Łowicz, Oława, Legionowo, Świdnica, in Żywiec, Krosno, Swarzędz, Żyrardów.
In partnership salons (area about 250m2), customers can find everything what carries on the hallmark look and feel of empik huge offer of products of culture, knowledge and entertainment (press, books, music, films, multimedia, art&pap), easy to follow placement of products, nice and competent service and very comfortable opening hours adapted to modern, fast-paced life.
In case of partnership salons empik is concentrated on create versatile offer but with putting the emphasis on best-sellers, cultural news and possibilities of order from whole empik offer (2 178 000 titles). New format of empik put an emphasis on cooperation between empik Group and local partner – Agent who profess as values as Passion and Quality, is very knowledgeable about cultural market (with ability to adjust offer to local needs, expectations) - hotheads, with experience in retail trade of products of culture, with knowledge of customer service standards, responsible and with management skills.
In next years empik is going to open more and more such partnership salons and is still looking for co-operators and localizations (renting at attractive conditions in city centres - promenades, marketplaces, main streets with trade space, having an area of about 250 – 500 m2).
